What is it and how can it help you?
Have you recently completed your course and been searching endlessly for a graduate position? Have you sent out numerous job applications but not making much progress?
Hope is not lost! The Careers and Business Relations department are launching a new programme in early October 2013 called “Accelerate Your Job Hunt” for those of you who have recently completed your studies here at Regent’s University London and are searching for a graduate position.
What can you expect from this programme?
This intensive 1 day workshop is designed to help you speed up your job search process and maximise your chances of success in the current graduate job market.
How can the programme benefit you?
- You will learn how to use your time and effort strategically when approaching your job search.
- How to overcome challenging online and time-consuming applications.
- Effectively use social media channels to access the hidden job market.
- The workshop will be followed by one-to-one consultations with one of our Career Coaches who can advise on your application style, help you answer difficult interview questions and much more!
So you’ve got that job – what next?
Do you worry about not meeting your manager’s expectations or are finding it difficult to adapt to your new role as a graduate employee?
We will also be running an evening workshop called “Launch Pad” mid-October, which will focus on helping you reach peak performance in your new job, give you practical tips on how to adapt quickly and make a positive impact on your team. Look out for further information about Launch Pad in one of our upcoming blog posts.
